String Cheese Incident
String Cheese Incident - Don’t Say
Last night String Cheese Incident really blew the roof off of Stage AE. Next to TAB - I think Cheese put on the best show I’ve ever seen at the venue…not to mention best show I’ve ever seen them play. Granted I’ve only seen 3 shows - First was at all good 2005 when the rain caused the music to stop not even halfway into the first set which put something of a damper on the whole evening. Being wet, cold and spun doesn’t usually lead to a great concert experience. Second show was the Danburry, CT stop on the Big Summer Classic in 2005. The whole day was great, learned who Umphrey’s was, danced with Michael Franti and ended up seeing Keller Williams Incident for the first set of cheese which was really really cool. If anyone has a recording of that show I’d love to hear it!
The vibe last night was great, the staff at AE left the people to their own “semi” responsible devices, which I always appreciate and most importantly…the band was fucking ON! They seemed to be having a good time too. Maybe it had something to do with it being drummer Jason Hann’s birthday or maybe their first show in Pittsburgh since 2005 (10/14/05 to be exact) but it really felt like the band was enjoying themselves profusely. Smiles all around. Amazing jams - one of which I was able to capture for you all. Hope you enjoy it.
